What is a Campaign Planner?
A campaign planner is a tool that helps marketers organize and manage their marketing activities more effectively across all communication channels. It allows for comprehensive planning, including setting objectives, scheduling, and resource allocation. The planner ensures consistency and coordination in multi-channel campaigns and provides tools for tracking performance and adjusting strategies. Overall, it streamlines the planning process and enhances the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Where to locate it in iPresso?
The campaign planner is located in the Reports panel in the sidebar navigation. To find it, click on Reports -> Campaign Planner.
Functionality
Adding a Campaign
To add a new campaign, click the “+” button in the top right corner.
Campaign creation form:
The form for adding a new campaign includes the following fields:
- Campaign Name: Required field.
- Campaign Description: Optional field.
- Campaign Requester: The person responsible for commissioning the campaign.
- Campaign Executor: The person responsible for executing the campaign.
- Target Audience Description: The group of recipients for whom the campaign is prepared.
- Segment: The audience segment targeted by the campaign.
- Campaign Type:
- One-time: The campaign is conducted once within the specified timeframe.
- Cyclic: The campaign occurs regularly on selected days of the week over a specified period.
- Continuous: The campaign runs for an extended period, with no end date required.
- Campaign Status: Selected from a list of available statuses to indicate the current stage of the campaign. This status is updated by the campaign executor or supervisor:
- Draft
- Commissioned for Implementation
- In Implementation
- Active
- Completed
- Campaign Color: Color used to highlight the campaign on the chart.
- Start Date: The date when the campaign begins.
- End Date: The date when the campaign ends. Not required for continuous campaigns, and for cyclic campaigns, it depends on the provided settings.
- Campaign Tag: Tag added to each communication channel involved in the campaign.
- Communication Channels: Channels included in the campaign:
- Email,
- SMS,
- WebPush,
- MobilePush,
- WhatsApp,
- On-site Action,
- In-app Action,
- STB Inbox.
Note that for messages, a specific creative with the provided tag is added, not the entire scenario. For pop-ups, an on-site action is added, not an individual creative.
Editing a Campaign
The editing functionality allows for modifications to an existing campaign. To edit a campaign, click on the colored highlight on the chart, the campaign name, or the ID. This action will redirect you to the campaign editing form, where you can update all fields.
Below the editing form, there is a list of all sends associated with the campaign and a list of changes:
- Send List: Includes columns for:
- Communication Channel,
- ID,
- Name,
- Action Column: Provides access to the report for each send.
- Change List: Includes columns for:
- Change Date: When the campaign was edited,
- User: The iPresso user who made the changes,
- Change Type: The type of change made,
You can also delete a campaign by clicking the trash icon and then confirming the deletion.
Gantt Chart
The view includes both horizontal and vertical columns. For the vertical columns within the “Campaign Details” section, you can collapse individual sub-columns by clicking on the name of the selected column. The view consists of the following columns:
- Campaign ID,
- Campaign Name,
- Campaign Details: Various columns from the campaign creation/editing form:
- Campaign Executor,
- Campaign Status,
- Campaign Type,
- Communication Channels,
- Campaign Tag,
- Campaign Start,
- Campaign End.
- Day/Week/Month Breakdown.
In the daily view, weekends are highlighted in gray, and today’s date is marked in red across all views.
Filters
The filtering functionality allows users to precisely adjust the view by displaying specific campaigns of interest. For example, users can filter by a particular campaign name or by the person responsible for executing the campaign.
Navigation
The navigation functionality allows for smooth movement across different time periods in the selected view:
- Scroll Backward: Move time backward.
- Scroll Forward: Move time forward.
- Jump to Today: Navigate to the current date.
Views
The functionality allows for the selection of different views, such as:
- Day View: Displays the entire month, showing all days of each month. This view provides a broader view of scheduled campaigns for each day of the month.
- Week View: Shows the month divided into weeks, starting from each first Monday of the month.
- Month View: Provides a narrower view of the entire month without breaking it down into individual days.
Sorting
Each column allows sorting of the entire view by clicking the sorting icon located near the column name.
Full screen
It allows you to expand the view to the entire available screen of the device, hiding other elements such as the toolbar and navigation menu.
