The OR and CTR reports enable iPresso users to carefully monitor open and click-through rates for their respective campaigns.
How to create a report?
To create the OR and CTR report you need to navigate to OR and CTR reports tab located in the Reports panel. You can create a new report either by using Create new report option within OR and CTR report subtabs or by red Create new report button located in the upper right-hand corner of the iPresso panel.
The OR and CTR creation processes are simple and intuitive. On the screenshot below you can see what fields can be filled in order to create one. The mandatory fields for the report creation are Name, Tag, and Beginning date of the reporting period. The additional fields let you customize the report further. We highly recommend filling the Description field to keep in check the necessary information (e.g. purpose of the report).
Tag is the mandatory part of the report as it is crucial to the reporting process. Tag serves as an umbrella for the data collected in the campaigns it calculates. The key part of the OR and CTR report setup is the order in which you undergo certain actions. The report should be created before the campaigns with specified Tag, and each campaign that we want to monitor has to have that tag.
Your reports can either be in the Draft, Active or Finished state. Right after the creation, the report goes into the Draft tab when you can perform few actions. The primary action here is Launch, it moves your report into the Active tab and you are no longer able to modify the settings of the report. The other actions in the Draft tab (accessible via three dots icon) are Edit, Copy, and Remove.
When you have created and launched your OR and CTR report you can simply access its contents via the red Report button. Additional options for the active reports are Stop, Copy, and Remove.
The data your report shows can be customized via additional options – Interval Type (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly) and specified period to show (depending on the interval type).
In the OR and CTR report you can monitor the following types of campaigns:
- E-mail campaigns
- SMS campaigns
- Web push campaigns
- Mobile push campaigns
- Actions on site – type Popup
- Actions on site – type JS (JavaScript)
The open rate (OR) report is only available for email campaigns. However, click-through rate (CTR) applies to all marketing actions listed above.
After you choose the specified interval and date range, data will be grouped by campaign type. The OR and CTR report cannot be used to aggregate all types of campaigns. Additionally, you can choose how would you like to see the data – as a summary report that aggregates the data for all the campaigns sharing the same type, or as a detailed report that shows the OR and CTR rates for each campaign separately.
A summary report displays a chart and a summary table for the chosen periods (e.g. the next days within date range you have chosen).
For a summary report you can also display a number of messages sent that aggregates only the summarized number of messages sent.
A detailed report contains only the table divided by each campaign monitored by the report. However, the data is displayed in the same manner as in the summary report.
For further analyses, you can export the data in CSV file type. To do so, simply use the blue Export to CSV button.
