What is Survicate?
Survicate is an external survey management system independent of iPresso.
For more information please visit https://survicate.com/.
What does the integration give?
Thanks to the integration you can collect survey-related feedback in iPresso. The information is saved in the form of contact activity.
The following types of Survicate surveys are sent to iPresso:
- NPS
Questions with a dictionary parameter. Possible answers: destructors, neutrals, promoters, and a numeric value, like a rating, e.g. 8: - Single-choice question
Questions with a vocabulary parameter where the respondent can select one response option: - Drop-down list
Questions with a dictionary parameter where the respondent can select an option from a drop-down list:
- Multiple choice question
A question with many of many parameters, where the respondent can select multiple answers from multiple possibilities:
- Text
Respondent enters any text as an answer to the question:
- Date and time
The respondent's answer is expressed as a dictionary date and time value, which in iPresso will always be saved in the format YYYY-MM-DD:
- Numerical rating scale
The respondent's rating is on a scale of 1-10. The value in the survey can also be expressed in stars, hearts, and thumbs-up: - Emoji rating scale
Respondent's rating on a 3- or 5-degree scale. Rating expressed by dictionary parameters: extremely unsatisfied, unsatisfied, neutral, happy, extremely happy:
Once you complete the survey questions, iPresso saves two types of activity in your contacts:
- completion activity (always saved)
- one activity for each question answered by the respondent

Who can use the integration?
The integration can be used by the users of the paid plans in Survicate. Free plan users are not able to upload to iPresso.
How can I enable the integration?
To enable the integration, go to iPresso to the Integration Center, find the Survicate integration under the Surveys tab, and click Activate:
Now enter the data necessary for the integration in iPresso:
You can find the Signing secret and Verification token in your Survicate account: Settings > Integrations:
Select Webhooks and click Connect. Both values will be generated:
Copy the values and paste them into iPresso accordingly.
Go back to Survicate, select Settings > Access Keys:
The API key will be displayed:
Copy it into iPresso. Before validating the configuration check if you have all the data:
Click Save.
After saving the integration data, the Webhook will appear. It will be needed in a moment.
If the integration was successful, a confirmation appears in the Integration Center:
How do I implement a survey mailing using the integration?
First, create your survey in Survicate. Add the Webhook from the previous step in the Connect tab. You can find more information in the Survicate help article, under Setting up webhooks. Remember that you need to do this for each survey separately
Now decide whether you want to include a link to the survey in the iPresso e-mail or display a panel with a rating scale (works if you selected NPS rating as the first question of the survey):
VERY IMPORTANT: regardless of how the survey is displayed in the e-mail, in the address
https://survey.survicate.com/10300a07aea6153e/?p=anonymous
you must change the parameter
/?p=anonymous
to
/?ipresso_id={contactHash}
An example of a valid link:
https://survey.survicate.com/10300a07aea6153e/?ipresso_id={contactHash}
This allows iPresso to collect data on completed surveys and assign responses to contacts in the manager as part of their activity.
Skipping this step will result in the data not being stored in iPresso.
If you decide you want to display the code directly in the e-mail, you'll need to replace multiple links per the formula above - in Survicate, each numeric rating is one link.
Below is an example of the Survicate code without editing:
The next step is to use the link or paste the code into the e-mail.
Example:
The code from Survicate can be styled to match your organization's key visuals.
You can also order this e-mail from us using iPresso Creative Services. Please contact your account manager about this.

This is it. Now you can send your survey email and wait for responses from your respondents.
