What is a pop-up?

A pop-up is a window that appears on a website. It can perform various functions, such as a message about a discount or a so-called CTA (call-to-action button) that redirects the user to another page (or a subpage) with a specific product.

With the iPresso creator, you can easily create pop-ups for your monitored sites. To start this process, go to Content > Popup creations and click Create new popup:

 

 

Settings

In the first step, enter data in the below fields:

The Name is visible only to iPresso users.

Tags are used for reporting. Adding a tag allows you to track the statistics of pop-up impressions and clicks in reports.

Choose your template

Choose how do you want to create a pop-up:

Templates are ready-made prompts for the shape and form of pop-ups.

Own HTML code gives you room to write the code from scratch and/or upload a ZIP package with a coded pop-up.

Saved templates is the section where you will find previously prepared and saved creations.

 

The pop-up creation

For the purpose of this instructions, we will choose a popup with a white "x" symbol closing the window (Popup (White X)).

Remember that at any stage you can save the creation as a template by clicking icon in the upper right corner.

You're moving to the Content edition now. The first step is to add a Link, which is a URL that you want the user to be redirected to, after clicking the image. Next, add the image you want to use:

You can go into Settings and customize the popup according to your needs. 

Size - here you will adjust the dimensions of the popup. The values refer to pixels:

The Position is centered by default, but you can choose a declared option:

This allows you to determine the position of the popup, by adjusting the distance from the edge of the page. Enter the values in pixels:

Overlay above site is a setting that allows you to choose the appearance of the background. Without the layer, the page will be sharp and readable:

 

Summary

Summary is the last step:

 

If any element need improvement, it will be highlight in red. After clicking Save, the pop-up will be ready to use in Actions on site.You can also Save it as template.

 

Custom creation

If you choose your Own HTML code, you can create any pop-up, such as one containing a newsletter sign-up form:

Once you the popup created is ready you are able to use it wth Actions on site.
