We can perform actions on segments that are being created, or ready to be used. These are various actions that will help us make even better use of iPresso's segmentation capabilities. To add such an action, in the view of segments ready for use or in the process of creation, on the right side, click the red button - add action. Then we are shown a panel with a selection of possible actions.
Types of actions on segments
- Add/Remove category
Using it, we can add or remove the selected category to all contacts in the segment, to a selected random percentage or to a selected random number of contacts. If the action is performed on a cyclic segment, we can set it to also be performed each time the segment is refreshed.
- Add/Remove tag
With this action we can give or remove the selected tag to all contacts in the segment, a selected random percentage or a selected random number of contacts. If the action is performed on a cyclic segment, we can set it to also be performed every time the segment is refreshed.
- Add/Remove consent
Using the action on the page, we can also add or remove consent to all contacts in the segment, a selected random percentage or a selected random number of contacts.
- Sending an email message
Once the segment has been prepared, we can use the action to send an e-mail message. By selecting this option we are taken to the sending wizard.
- Sending an SMS message
After preparing the segment, we can also use the action to send an SMS message. By selecting this option we are taken to the sending wizard.
- Sending a voice message
We can also use the actions on the segment to send a voice message. By clicking on this option we are taken to the sending wizard.
- Export
With this action we can export the segment to a CSV file. Read more about exporting a segment to a file.
- Delete contacts
Using this option, we can permanently delete the contacts in the segment from the iPresso panel. This action cannot be undone so use it carefully.
- Create segment
Using an existing segment, we can also create another segment, which will contain all contacts from the indicated segment, a random percentage or a random number. We also specify the new segment's ready time in the settings.
- Add to report
This action is responsible for adding a segment to an existing Cyclic Report. For more information about the Cyclic Report.
- Add to scenario
We can also add the contacts in the segment to a running scenario. To do this, the scenario must have the contact addition method set to add via API.
- Assign the count to a variable
With this action, we can assign the contacts present in the segment to a selected global variable. If the action is executed on a cyclic segment, we can set it to also execute every time the segment is refreshed.
- Exporting data based on configuration
To export specific data, such as activities and their contact parameters from a segment, we can use data export based on configuration. For more information on how to configure data export.
- Divide segment
Allows you to divide the selected segment into 2 to 10 smaller segments.
