Using condition blocks in a marketing automation scenario
To maximize the potential of marketing automation scenarios, we can use conditions. They allow for better personalization and optimization of the scenario. By checking if contacts meet a certain condition, we can direct them to the best path for a particular type of contact, and as a result, our campaign will have better results.
All conditional blocks, depending on the needs, can be set as a one-time condition check or a timed condition check. In practice, this means that with a one-time condition check, the contact is checked immediately and directed to the appropriate path. With a timed condition check, we verify the condition for the time specified by us (e.g. 24h). If the contact meets the condition after, for example, 3 hours of stopping at this block, it is immediately directed to the "Yes" path. All contacts that still do not meet the condition after 24 hours will go to the "No" path.
Characteristics and configuration of Condition blocks
Below is a list and characteristics of available conditional blocks in iPresso:
Receivied e-mail
We verify if the contacts received the email specified by us. In the settings, in the "Email sending" place, we enter the name of the campaign we want to verify. This condition verifies whether the contacts received the email SINCE ENTERING THE SCENARIO.
Opened e-mail
We check if the contact has opened the email specified by us. In the settings, in the "Email sending" place, we enter the name of the campaign we want to verify. This condition verifies whether the contacts opened the email SINCE ENTERING THE SCENARIO.
Link click
Allows checking if contacts have clicked a specific link. In the settings, we choose the communication channel through which we sent the specified link. Then we provide the name of the campaign. We choose whether it is a specific link (Criteria -> is equal | link -> https://ipresso.com), or if it contains a word, or does not contain it (Criteria -> contains | link -> scenarios). This condition verifies whether the contacts clicked the link SINCE ENTERING THE SCENARIO.
SMS received
We verify if the contacts received the SMS message indicated by us. In the settings, in the "Sending SMS" section, we enter the name of the campaign we want to verify. This condition verifies if the contacts received the message SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Downloaded a file
We check if the contacts have downloaded the file indicated by us. In the settings, in the "File" section, we choose the name of the file whose download we want to verify. This condition verifies if the contacts have downloaded the file SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Visited landing pages
With this condition, we check if the contacts have entered the landing page created by us. In the settings, in the "Landing Page" section, we choose from the list which LP we are checking. This condition verifies if the contacts have entered the landing page SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Filling out the landing page
Allows checking if the contacts have filled out the form located on the landing page. In the settings, in the "Landing Page" section, we choose from the list which LP we are checking. This condition verifies if the contacts have filled out the landing page SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Fill out the contact form
Verifies if the contacts have filled out the specified contact form. In the settings, in the "Contact form" section, we choose from the list which form we are checking. This condition verifies if the contacts have filled out the form SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Open survey
We check if the contacts have entered the survey created by us. In the settings, in the "Survey" section, we choose from the list which questionnaire we want to check. This condition verifies if the contacts have entered the survey SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Filled-out out surveys
We check if the contacts have filled out the survey created by us. In the settings, in the "Survey" section, we choose from the list which questionnaire we want to check. This condition verifies if the contacts have filled out the survey SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Visit on website
This condition can be used to check if the contacts have entered the monitored page. From the list, we choose which of our monitored pages we want to check. We choose whether we want to measure only the address from the link (e.g. the main page) or the entire path. The condition verifies if the contacts have entered the page SINCE THE MOMENT OF ENTRY INTO THE SCENARIO.
Attributes
This condition allows us to create a unique condition from all available contact data. These settings work similarly to those in segmentation. Here, we can verify attributes, consents, web push tokens, etc. This block also allows us to verify activities and actions not only within any interval but also historically (before the contact entered the scenario).
Contact activity
We verify whether the contacts have performed the activity indicated by us. In the settings, under "Activity," we choose from the list which activity we want to check. This condition verifies whether the contacts have performed the activity SINCE ENTERING THE SCENARIO.
Action on contact
It allows checking whether any action has been taken on the contacts. In the settings, under "Action," we choose from the list which action we want to verify. This condition verifies whether the action took place SINCE ENTERING THE SCENARIO.
Time condition
It gives us the ability to verify whether the contacts reached this block by the day indicated in the settings. If they reach the block with the timing condition before that date, they will take the "Yes" path, if they reach it later, they will be directed to the "No" path.
