Dynamic blocks allow you to create elements of email sends that are both extensions of Drag & Drop creatives with more advanced elements and sections that can change globally in ongoing, long-distance MA campaigns.
Imagine set up scenarios that handle automatic mailings to customers, if there are duplicate sections in the communication that have been included in dynamic blocks the content swapping is done in one place without the need to stop the automation or edit each mailing individually.
Dynamic blocks allow us to use HTML code or plain text, so with their help we can extend the capabilities of the D&D editor with more advanced options.
Dynamic blocks can be found in the tab:
content -> email elements -> dynamic blocks
Adding a dynamic email block
First of all, you need to add a name and API key, which will be used to refer to the block in the email creation, the name is an internal nomenclature and is not visible to the recipient.
The functionality allows you to send a package with HTML code in order to download a ready-made creative prepared, for example, by a marketing agency:
The next fields allow easy insertion of personalization brackets into the block, we can choose from droplists containing configured in the account:
- personalized content e.g. first name, last name or date of account registration stored in an attribute
- a global variable, e.g., the number of people enrolled in a contest
- dynamic email elements, e.g., date, company name or link to the opt-out
An example of use can be an ostylated element presenting the currently promoted product - replacing it in a dynamic block will change the promoted item in all mailings - even those included in running Marketing Automation scenarios!
Dynamic blocks also allow you to use and pull products from the feed manager, which allows you to even better control the displayed products and thus better personalize your communications.
